If you look at table 3 in our paper, you will see that these cross-identifications (FASTT1466=VX Aql, FASTT1463=V886 Aql) appear there along with about a hundred other known variables. Note that proximity is just one criteria for judging whether a variable from one of these surveys is the same as one given in the GCVS. You also need to look at the classification, min/max magnitudes, etc. to ensure you haven't found a new variable that happens to lie close to the (often poor) GCVS coordinates. Arne
