Dear Steve (and vsnetters),
>Thanks for the answer on the supernova question; would you happen to
>know the answer to these other questions:
>
>--Planetary nebulae eject what two heavy elements into the galaxy?
It depends on their track of evolution.
>--What satellite galaxy is moving fastest toward the galactic center?
The satellite galaxy of our Galaxy? Sorry I don't know.
>--How many miles per second does the Sun move in its orbit?
If you mean the galactic rotation, it is about 200-250 km/s = 125 -
155 miles/s.
Sincerely Yours,
Hitoshi Yamaoka, Kyushu Univ., Japan
