One event of type Ia supernova is thought to produce about 0.6 - 1.0
solar mass of iron, besides an event of other type supernova gives
around 0.1 solar mass of iron (excepted "hypernova"). The ratio of
Ia/others is estimated to be nearly one, so the answer of your
question would be "type Ia".

Hitoshi YAMAOKA, Kyushu Univ., Japan.
