Dear colleagues,
I have easily located V735 Sgr as marked by Luyten on the Bruce
plate pair used for proper motions in this area.
It appears that Vogt & Bateson got the right pair of stars, but the
wrong individual star. V735 is the north and slightly west star of
the pair; there is a noticeable difference in brightness of this
star between the two Bruce plates.
I hope this will clear up the identification question!
Cheers,
Martha L. Hazen
