Dear Dr. Kato,

We have given a name to the Nova in Sgr according to a special agreement
with Dan Green. This agreement is now in its experimental phase, and we
are not sure it will become permanent. Our general attitude is NOT TO GIVE
GCVS names in a hurry, but a bright Nova will definitely become a GCVS
star. We know many cases when too quick actions of those gioving GCVS
names led to duplicate GCVS entries or false variables in the catalog. The
case of the Pegasus star is NOT covered by our agreement with Dan, and he
specially asked me if we can give it a name quickly. The star was already
selected for our REGULAR Namelist No. 75, in active preparation right now
(so that we cannot yet be sure that no star will be excluded), but,
fortunately, its coordinates make it the FIRST variable in Pegasus in the
Namelist, and it is very easy to predict its name. We want to be very
cautious with this procedure. Thank you for your eagerness to help, it
might become needed in future.

Best regards
Kolya
