The BVRI photometry by Corwin & Frueh was done with a traditional single-channel photometer during the course of aperture photometry of the galaxy itself (e.g. 1996 AJ 111,722). Although great care would have been taken to compensate for the galaxian background light, this method is not perfect. A strongly varying background is better taken out when using a CCD, so we might expect that later some observers will be able to improve on the original numbers. \Brian
