Does anyone know how much the ABG gate structure affects the photometric
accuracy, esp. in ST-6 and ABG-equipped ST-7? I have heard some of our
observers have made time-resolved photometry using a short focal length
telescope (or a telephoto lens) and ST-6, yielding an unexpected scatter
in the light curve. The observations were done under low enough photons
below the quoted limit, but the exposure time was adjusted to enable
necessary photon statistics (percent accuracy). I suspect this may have
resulted from the intrapixel response pattern, but haven't read the effect
qualitatively.
