Now that the CV has faded, I've been able to get photometry
of both CG CMa and its close companion. The companion is
located at
07:04:05.04 -23:45:34.6 J2000
and has magnitudes and colors of
V B-V verr bverr
16.447 0.516 0.012 0.014
The variable is located at
07:04:05.23 -23:45:34.2 J2000
(or about 2.9arcsec east of the companion), and has magnitudes
and colors of:
HJD V B-V verr bverr
51247.6627 16.115 0.018 0.009 0.017
51251.7134 16.543 0.034 0.013 0.011
Note that the variable is still fading and I don't know its
quiescent magnitude.
I hope these numbers will help observers who are reporting
the combined light of the pair to separate out the variable.
