[vsnet-chat 1612] FASTT-1 variables

While the text of the first FASTT paper can be found on
  http://ftp.nofs.navy.mil/pub/outgoing/aah/fastt1
and the TeX formatted list of 1600 variables is in the
file henden.tab2.tex, I've also included a new file in
that directory called hs.obs which lists those Henden/Stone
stars that are currently being observed by various amateur
and professional groups. If you honestly start a campaign
on any of the FASTT stars, I'd appreciate an email
and I'll include you in this list. In this manner, there
should not be too many cases where multiple observers are
looking at some star, thinking they are the only ones.

The new list of variables will be placed in /aah/fastt2
sometime during March. For those of you that do not
recognize the FASTT acronym, this is an 8" transit telescope
with a 2kx2k CCD and wide-R filter at our observatory. It
did an astrometric survey at the equator in support of the
Sloan Digital Sky Survey, and the variable star lists are
an offshoot from that project. All stars are +-1.5 degrees
from the equator and range from R=9-18 in magnitude (most
of the variables are brighter than R=16).
