Re; vsnet-chat 1466, 1467, 1468, 1469, 1473, 1474, 1478, 1480, 1481
I have checked on the original BAAVSS paper reports for Nova 1981 Sct
and find that there was an unconfirmed positive sighting as follows;
1991 July 07, 20h55m UT, 10.5m, F(3)V(4)H sequence GMH810726
Savvas Koushiappas, Nicosia, Cyprus. instrument 8" S/C.
This was the second observation of the field by this observer who had
apparently only begun to observe a few months earlier. Possibly the sighting
was deemed in error at the time other (negative) estimates were keyed into
the database. These are appended below and I will rectify the omission.
Together with the original discovery confirmation attempts discussed
previously in vsnet-chat, it seems that this object is fated to remain
a mystery... Unless another outburst is observed!
Regards to all,
Dave
