Hello. I am Seiichi Yoshida working on the MISAO Project. Now I
introduce you the examination result of sala.jpg introduced us in
[vsnet-chat 1332].

These data are automatically measured by the PIXY system, an automatic
image examination software, of the MISAO Project. Reference catalog is
USNO-A1.0 (V) [V=R+0.375(B-R)]. False data removal and identification
verification have been done by hand after all. For more information

First of all, I deleted the letters on the image using Photoshop, and
then I examined it by the PIXY system.
This image is of SN 1998eb. But the system could not detect the
supernova. Magnitude estimation of the supernova by hand is 17.1 mag.
It is 1 mag brighter than the reported magnitude in [vsnet-chat 1332],
18.1 mag.
Some stars overlapping on the galaxy in the center are not recorded in
the USNO-A1.0 because they are blended in the galaxy.
The host galaxy of the supernova is identified as:
USNO-A1.0 1575.02429087 = NGC 1961 = MCG+12-06-007 = IC 2133 = IRAS 05365+6921
This galaxy is recorded in the Veron's Quasars and Active Galactic
Nuclei (8th Ed.). And the IRAS PSC says it may be variable (6%). So
it will not be a normal galaxy. But the photometric data is quite
uncertain.
Another galaxy at upper-left of the image, USNO-A1.0 1575.02434404, is
anonymous.
Three candidates of new objects are detected. The pair:
05 42 23.43 +69 18 30.3 mag=14.8 x= 196.60 y= 346.13
05 42 22.69 +69 18 37.8 mag=15.2 x= 198.99 y= 341.71
is a close double star.
The trail of an artificial satellite is separated into three objects.
I removed them from the list by hand.
