V592 Her: examination of the 1986 outburst data

It may be worth recording. The extraction of the VSOLJ database around
the reported second outburst of V592 Her (1986 May 12):

I am astonished to find that I observed on the very night of that
outburst. If only I could have better limiting magnitudes! (I mostly
used a 10-cm reflector then). However, a bright peak reaching mv ~12,
as observed during the current outburst, may be excluded considering the
dense coverage before the reported maximum. My usual limiting magnitudes
in other fields were ~13 with the 10-cm reflector; the upper limits for
V592 Her were rough (0.5 mag step), conservative values, since there was
no V mag sequence available then. I remember these exciting nights in
pursuit of P/Halley.
