Dear SN watchers,

IAUC 6997 tells that the spectrum of SN 1998dm was taken on Aug. 24.
The report says that it shows that this object is of a type Ia before
maximum, but from its redness and strength of 575nm Si feature, it
would be a subluminous one.

Although it would not come to be bright as 14 mag, its photometry is
urged for sampling (relatively rare) subluminous SN Ia.
