[vsnet-chat 1087] (fwd) Re: helio(bary)centeric correction

Dear Dr. Thorstensen,

Thank you veru much for your suggestion on the JPL web site. I believe
the free software NIPE produces prctically the same daily ephemeris what is
provided at the JPL web site. Now that I have learned some details about
its computation, and have modified an Hermite interpolation code (and adapted
some code to ANSI C), I am (I hope) now equipped with a full-featured
barycentric correction module (function). I have just started calculating
the JPL epoch (1969)+/-20000 days. I expect the calculation will be finished
within hours.

Probably we must next worry which combination time (HJD, BJD, TDT, UTC
etc) we should use in our future publication.

Regards,
Taichi Kato
