IMPROVED POSITIONS AND IDENTIFICATIONS FOR : TU CAR, WX CAR & WY CAR.

1. TU CAR.  M. Range 12- <17p
Position (1900) 10h31m17s -60o11.5',  from GCVS.
Stephenson's Catalogue of Cool Galactic Carbon Stars (1989) lists star
no. 2795 with a rather similar position - (1900) 10h31m23s -60o11.7'.
Probable identification as a carbon star.
IRAS PSC lists an object at (1900) 10h31m16.2s -60o11'37", or
(1950) 10h33m6.1s -60o27'07'.

2. WX CAR. M. 13- <17p.
(1950) 10h51m57s -58o15', from GCVS.
IRAS PSC lists an object which agrees well with the approx. GCVS position.
IRAS PSC 10519-5815 (1950) 10h51m56.0s -58o15'24".

3. WY CAR. M. 14- <17p.
Position (1950) 10h52m19s -58o8.7' (GCVS).
The GCVS Chart reference is for the CoD, from which I must surmise the
relevant star to be CoD-57 3577 (10) = CPD-57 3969 (9.6) = HDE 303467, FO.
Comparison of blue and yellow light plates confirm that HDE 303467 is not
red. IRAS PSC 10522-5806 is located at (1950) 10h52m14.5s -58o06'36".
This is the only IRAS source in the vicinity, and most likely identical
with WY Car.  The CoD reference is wrong.
