Hi Stan and interestees,
The CBA group did some good work on V803 Cen last year and confirmed
the status of high importance that was given to this target. I just
wonder now and think that you were involved, Stan?!
Due to its near 1 day cycle, V803 Cen needs around the clock
monitoring. It would be fine if one or more observers in Australia/New
Zealand could frequent their observations. Surely (and hopefully)
there are plenty more observations of V803 Cen than shown in the VSNET
circulars....
I will keep on bringing my part from S Africa. They promised open
skies for another two months on the highveld!
Last night V803 Cen was <134 and that's as far I could see with the
terrible haze around. I didn't bother to report the observation, but I
will in future.
Btw, I have been using the 'Elvius' sequences so far, without knowing
it.
Regards,
Berto Monard,
Pretoria
