[vsnet-chat 926] RE: LaTEX ?

Dear colleagues,
some time ago when we prepared an article about Var 21 CrB and wanted to add
a table with visual data of outbursts (just for illustration how often is
star in this phase) editors of IBVS wrote us that no visual data are
possible in IBVS publications.

But question of Fraser was primary about LaTex. You should know that this
languague for publications is quite simple to learn and I recomend you to
download some "source" LaTeX file and have a look. There are a lot of then
in VSNET ftp archive.
The problem should be when "compiling" the source to "dvi" output (or PS or
so...)

Then you can use some compiler on Linux/Unix machine or download from the
Internet installation - LaTeX is public domain.

You can have a look to http://vsnet.tug.org for general informations and other
related links or to http://vsnet.tex.ac.uk/CTAN/latex/

Hope this helps you

Regards

Rudolf
