[vsnet-chat 822] More on V893 Sco identification

More on V893 Sco identification

While surveying literatures, I have gained another progress in the
identification problem of V893 Sco.

Satyvoldiev's identification chart of V893 Sco (Astron. Tsirk. 711)
is in error! In Astron. Tsirk. 728, Satyvoldiev published finding charts
of 18 SVS stars (SVS 1786-1803) having H-alpha emission. Among them,
the finding chart for the star No. 18 (SVS 1794, 16h 19m.3 -23o 26' 1900.0)
is almost identical with the chart for V893 Sco in ATs 711! SVS 1794 can
be quite reasonably identified with NSV07698, comparison with USNO-based
chart giving a reasonable pattern match. NSV07698 is identical with the
following star.

   GSC6794.410 162516.70 -234112.3 (2000.0) 15.36 0
   USNO0600.11576301 162516.674 -234112.43 (2000.0) 14.9 17.1

There must have been some confusions in Satyvoldiev's side when preparing
these articles. We therefore should regard possible interpretation of
Satyvoldiev's finding chart of V893 Sco as a chance conincidence.
However, the close coincidence with the published position, and confirmation
of light variation on Moscow plates still strongly favor the identification
of Haseda's object with V893 Sco.
