Dear Dr. Bateson,
Thank you for checking the data. The characteristic rather seems to
meto resemble that of HT Cas, the eclipsing SU UMa-star which have very
rare outbursts. The last superoutburst of HT Cas was in 1985, so even
a continuous 12-year monitoring have yielded only a few short outbursts.
HT Cas has two states (high and low) at V=16 and V=17-18, respectively,
and reaches V=13-13.5 at normal maximum. The amplitude of the outbursts
also resemble those of V2051 Oph. Wouldn't we then expect superoutburst
in V2051 Oph in some decades, or are there any decisive phtsical difference
between these systems?
Regards,
Taichi Kato
