Dear Dr. Kato,
V2051 Oph. I have now checked all our monthly circulars in which CV data is
summarised and conclude:
(a) Outbursts whilst having a random appearance are occuring at fairly frequent
intervals when there have been observers using telescopes with
thresholds of magnitude 14 or fainter.
(b) There is no evidence for superoutbursts like those seen in other SU UMa
variables. This may be because the major portion of outbursts are between
14.5 and 15.0 before returning to minimum.
(c) Posssibly these three outbursts were similar to that observed this month by
Rod Stubbings, i.e.
GJD 2447,949 MAXIMUM 13.2
2448,130 MAXIMUM 13.4
2448,362 MAXIMUM 13.5
I have asked our computer expert to send me a printout of all our data so I
can analysis it more closely.
Kind regards,
Frank Bateson
