Rudolf,
If this is in regard to the 14th magnitude "nova" near M51 reported
here a while back, the "nova" turned out to be a flaw in the
"discoverers" CCD camera. We imaged the coordinates within a
day of the first report and found nothing unusual. When I returned
from the observatory there was an e-mail recalling the discovery
report.
Ah well, we got a nice image of M51.
