Well, we've had one of our group access this database and there is nothing
there on Mira, nor any other stars in Cetus. 

I've also taken note of the comments in the AAVSO News Flashes and requested
information on R Hydrae - its history also goes back over 300 years - but
without success. 

Is there some sort of problem there - or are we doing something wrong?

These two stars form part of an interesting analysis that I'm engaged on. I
have almost all the dates of maxima of Mira back to 1596 but the individual
measures would be useful - the Japanese as always have been very helpful -
many thanks!
