It might not be so surprising to find Mira variables of this faintness.
In the constellation Coma Berenices, the following objects listed in GCVS
have maximum magnitudes fainter than 13.

COMRX 125630 +1528 M 13.3 <17.8 P 36776 211.11 - -
COMAB 121618 +2355 M 14.4 <17.0 P 42188 194.7 - -

Ths following Mira is also famous for its faintness.

VIRCV 122832 +1234.4 M 14.2 <16.5 P 37334 146.38 - ME

Being close to M87 of the Virgo cluster, this variable might be an
interesting deep-sky target.

Hope someone could comment on the visual period-luminosity relationship
of Mira variables.
