FYI

Mike is right.
The 11.7 mag star directly beside V475 Sct on the AAVSO D chart is
labeled 12.2 mag on the JVSA chart.

Hi Wolfgang,

Please do not use vsnet or VSOLJ charts when reporting to AAVSO if
possible.
We will do our best to make accurate sequences in a timely fashion.

I have prepared e charts that go to 147 using Henden photometry accurate
to
+/- 0.02V. They will be released shortly.
I am forwarding the dat file and chart to Sebastian so he can determine
how
best to use this information for his own charts.

Japanese estimates fainter than 12V are no doubt based on this faulty
chart
which lists a 122 comp that is actually 117.
Your own recent estimates match quite well with observations reported by
reliable observers using a better sequence.
Keep up the good work.

>>Hi

The faintest comp star on the AAVSO D chart of V475 Sct using ASAS-3
mags is
12.5.
The faintest estimate of V475 Sct (this week) was 12.1 mag.

As soon as V475 SCT (= Nova Sct 2003) makes its next dip an E chart
with
fainter comp stars is required.

There exist already a Chart by the Japan Variable Star Association (use
only
for H/T stars) with USNO-A2.0 mags down to 15.0:

Best regards
