[vsnet-campaign 1180] EF Peg outburst

EF Peg outburst

As reported by E. Muyllaert in [vsnet-alert 6734], the SU UMa-type
dwarf nova EF Peg is now in outburst (11.1mag). The outburst was
confirmed by M. Reszelski in [vsnet-alert 6735] (10.7mag). The last
outburst was reported on 1997 January (IAUC 6767).

EF Peg is a strange SU UMa-type star in the point of its long
cycle of superoutburst (about 4.8yr in this case) with a long orbital
period of near 2 hours, the edge of the "period gap" of CVs.

    Follow-up observations are encouraged.

Regards,
Makoto Uemura

PS. but the late superhumps of WZ Sge should still be monitored, so it may be
difficult to make the tonight observation schedule :-) .
We encourage to use [vsnet-campaidn-dn] list for announcement of your
  observations schedule.
