[vsnet-campaign 1084] RE: Ävsnet-campaign-dn 1123Å WZ Sge: news from Aug. 06/07

Dear Gianluca,

excellent results once again from Bellatrix! We have had quite a lot of
clouds up here and managed to observe only on Friday night.

I was looking your lightcurves of last few nights and it looks that there is
two humps that have different periods. On the Aug 4/5 run there is clearly
two peaks that are closing each other, on following night they are almost
superimposed producing a simpler curve with larger amplitude and now on the
last observations the other peak is emerging again form the other side. Do
you see these two periods if you do analysis for the last three or four
nights? Or is this the phase shift of superhump what we are seeing here?

best regards,

arto

Dear Colleagues,
On Aug. 06/07 we performed, at Bellatrix Observatory, time-resolved
photometry for this
star. We managed to get a 7-hours coverage; during the run, always under
excellent
condition, we had some clouds, and the effect are partially visible on the
curve. But,
fortunately, the run is generally of very good quality.
The star's behaviour once again changed! Tonight, maxima had a sharper shape
than ever,
and while tha peak was just in the middle of the hump, now it moved toward
its left side.
During the run, we note a strong evolution, as the maxima actually changed a
lot: the
first ones were quite simple in their shape, while the other ones had
additional features,
with the appearence of another small hump, sometimes affecting the primary
structure. It
is interesting to note that now eclipses are occuring in good agreement with
the
previsions. we performed PDM analysis, geting a period estimate of 0.0582d.

As always, the light curve is posted at:

Please enjoy!

Regards,
