[vsnet-campaign 996] HT Cam outburst!

HT Cam outburst!

Maciej Reszelski reports that HT Cam (RX J0757.0+6306) is undergoing
a rare outburst. The object is a system with a short orbital period
(below the period gap). Some authors consider the object as a candidate
intermediate polar.

The last reported outburst occurred in 2000 September (Kinnunen).
Since all known outbursts of HT Cam faded quickly, urgent observations
are needed. The object is selected as one of top-priority targets
of the VSNET Collaboration team!
