Dear colleagues, I herewith confirm the bright state (outburst?) of V478 Her. An unfiltered CCD session, started on 2001, June 6.976 UT, using the 0.35-m f/6.3 telescope and ST-7 CCD of CBA Belgium Observatory, shows the variable at mag 15.85. An outburst image and more detailed information is available on my web site : www.lunarpages.com/cbabelgium Best regards, Tonny Vanmunster CBA Belgium Observatory http://vsnet.lunarpages.com/cbabelgium email : Tonny.Vanmunster@advalvas.be > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-vsnet-campaign@kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp > [mailto:owner-vsnet-campaign@kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp]On Behalf Of Taichi > Kato > Sent: Wednesday 6 June 2001 0:24 AM > To: vsnet-alert@kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp; > vsnet-campaign@kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp; > vsnet-outburst@kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp > Subject: [vsnet-campaign 963] V478 Her brightening > > > V478 Her brightening > > According to AAVSO News Flash No. 793, the recently identified > cataclysmic variable V478 Her may be brightening. > CCD observation by Diethelm recoreded the object at 15.70 on June > 4.9599 UT. > The object had been regarded as an irregular variable (IS:) until > quite recently.
