TV Col outburst: observations needed!
As reported by Rod Stubbings (vsnet-alert 5419) and Berto Monard
(vsnet-alert 5420), the intermediate polar TV Col is in outburst (or
in bright state). The last reported brightening was observed on
2000 Apr. 25 (reaching mv=12.1; vsnet-alert 4677, 4746), which experienced
very rapid fading.
Follow-up observations (esp. time-resolved photometry and spectroscopy)
of the present outburst are very urgently needed. TV Col has an orbital
period of 0.2286 d and the white dwarf spin period of 1911 s.
Follow-up information will be provided in vsnet-ip. Detailed progress
of observations should be sent to vsnet-campaign-ip.
