I am now seeing the light curve of IY UMa observed last night at Kyoto. The altitude of the object was very low and the data is noisy, but I can see an eclipse-like feature around September 29 9:36 (UT). This is about 16 min faster than the prediccted timing. During our run, out of eclipse (29.41 - 29.46 UT), the object brightened with a rate of 1.2mag/d, and then, showed a possible fading. This may be a superhump or the next eclipse. I have checked the constancy of comparison. Can anyone have a plan to confirm the current status of IY UMa? At Kyoto, it will be rainy tonight. The nature of this outburst is still not unclear.
