GX 339-4 = V821 Ara entered a low/hard state According to ATEL #120, the black hole candidate GX 339-4 = V821 Ara has apparently entered a low/hard state. The object is located at 17:02:49.4 -48:47:22 (J2000.0), and can be reached with a CCD + a moderate telescope. Optical/IR observations would be encouraged to follow its activity. This source is known to show short-term variations; time-resolved photometry, if possible, is preferrable. Regards, Taichi Kato
