[vsnet-campaign-xray 151] (fwd) on HL Lup and IL Lup (Samus)

Dear Dr. Kato,

The GCVS team has the following opinion concerning HL and IL Lup,
suggested by Hans Ritter in his correspondence with me in 1997.

1. HL Lup is not the optical counterpart of the X-ray transient but an
independent M2III variable, the chart can be found in Forman & Liller
(1973, ApJ 183, L117). We use the USNO A2.0 position (15h47m24s.1
-47deg43'01", 2000) for the star.

2. IL Lup is the X-ray transient. For this star, we use the GSC2.2
position (15h47m08s.2 -47deg40'10", 2000).

Best regards
Kolya Samus
