[vsnet-campaign-xray 1] New list: vsnet-campaign-xray

New list: vsnet-campaign-xray

Dear Colleagues,

We have set up a new list, vsnet-campaign-xray, as a sub-list of
vsnet-campaign, which has been used to exchange messages between VSNET
collaboration members in conducting VSNET campaigns, esp. cataclysmic
variables (CVs), X-ray transient outbursts and other explosive objects
like novae and supernovae. The new list "vsnet-campaign-xray" is totally
devoted to dedicated campaigns of X-ray binaries, particularly for detailed
follow-up observations of X-ray transients, which are announced on the
main vsnet-campaign list.

The list is rather strictly restricted for the campaign usage.
Although we don't put strict control over the sender's preference of the
list (vsnet-campaign and vsnet-campaign-xray), detailed follow-up observations
(nightly progress, outburst state update etc.) should be more directed
to this vsnet-campign-xray list. Notifications among the collaboration team,
introduction of new targets, regular Weekly Summaries will be posted to
vsnet-campaign, so that all collaboration members (not always X-ray binary
observers) can have a chance to know the change. Of course, important
notifications (such as discoveries, noteworthy changes in the campaign
targets, important progress, call for new observations etc.) should be
directed to vsnet-alert as before. For discussions of general interest,
please use vsnet-chat as before. VSNET administrators may forward such
messages to other VSNET lists when necessary.

The initial list of vsnet-campaign-xray includes members of vsnet-campaign.
If one wish to subscribe or unsubscribe to vsnet-campaign-xray, please send

Please feel free to distribute this message to interested parties
or persons who may be interested in VSNET collaboration project.

Taichi Kato
