There have been some recent reports of "brightening" of V838 Mon. I don't see anything major here with the 1.0m. The last datapoint was 021014 UT, with V~15.7. The nova is of course extremely red (Ic~10.5), so unfiltered observations will report it much brighter. There are also several close stars that will influence aperture photometry, along with the bright lightecho shell. You need to be *very* careful in measuring this object! Arne
