The following image is posted on the ASO Image Archives at:

Nova V838 Mon 02 taken with the CCD RC-237 @ f/5.95 and 12" Schmidt Sky
Patrol telescope.  30 second exposure with south at top; star magnitudes
given (these stars were used to calibrate the magnitude readings from the
CCD)with NO decimal points.  Limiting sky magnitude in this image is 16.
Magnitude of V838 Mon 02 = 7.87 V at 03:16 U.T.
