Since this may possibly become a naked eye object, I thought that this was
worth forwarding. I looked the Guide Star Catalog entry in sky map and it
was listed as 15.53, but GSC entries are only accurate to about a magnitude
or so. In any case, that is an extreme brightening. While it should be
visible in binoculars at mag. 7.5, it would require good charts because it
is in a very rich star field. If it does reach naked eye brightness it
should be easy to pick out. The next clear night, take a look. It is on a
line between Delta Mon and 19 Mon, about 10% of that total distance away
from 19 Mon. The coordinates are RA 07h 04m 04.786s, dec -0350' 50.24"
(J2000).
