[vsnet-campaign-v838mon 14] R & I observations

Hi,

we report observations of V838 Mon using 40cm Newtonian
telescope at N. Copernicus observatory, Brno, Czech
Republic:

20020202.997     7.03   +/- 0.08 mag (Rc filter)
20020202.999     6.24  +/- 0.01 mag (Ic filter)

Comparison star used: GSC 4822:3559 with magnitudes from A.
Henden: V = 10.707, Rc = 10.676, Ic = 10.612. Averages from
5 images in each band.

Please use these magnitudes only as informative as we had
to use 5s exposures to avoid saturation of V838 Mon and the
quoted errors do _not_ incorporate any systematic
uncertainities.
