V4641 Sgr on July 11 (Monard) Dear Colleagues, Berto Monard has just sent the July 11 observation covering more than 7 hours. The data show a slow modulation and small-amplitude (<0.1 mag) short-term variation. The overall behavior is strikingly different from the July 7-8 observations. The ongoing analysis of the Kyoto data just preceding Monard's observation (observers: M. Uemura and R. Ishioka) confirms this trend. V4641 Sgr seems to have entered an inactive phase, but no one apparently knows the duration of the present inactive phase. Please note that there was no hint of the striking activity on July 7, except for unconfirmed sightings by T. Scarmato. Please keep your eye on this object as frequently as possible!
