V4641 Sgr observation: Gianluca Masi We have received these data. Compared to this observation, the most recent observations (as reported by Uemura-san) are very strikingly "violently varying"!! The source has resumed its activity. Please keep in mind the 1999 September event was preceded month-long activity phase (sometimes looking interrupted by inactive phases). There may be a coming major flare-up. Please continue observing the object as intensively as you can! (from vsnet-campaign 1316) Dear Colleagues, finally, I reduced the run on V4641 Sgr, taken on May 31-June 1 with my friend Franco Mallia at Campo Catino Astronomical Observatory. The variable was around mag. 14.5 (unfiltered). Looking at the final lightcurve, the star shows an evident modulation, with a full amplitude around 0.1 mag. The period of this modulation is around 25 min and it looks quite periodic. During the run, covering about 2.7 hours, the star showed a gradual brightening (about 0.05 mag over the entire run). I sincerely thank Raoul Behrend (Observatoire de Gen钁e) for providing me with a converter from SBIG to FITS format and to adjust it to deal with the files coming from the ST-9 CCD camera. Thanks also to all those who responded to my help request with the conversion.
