    Most surprizingly, Berto's observation just followed the period of
"violent variations" observed in Japan.  The object suddenly switched
from the violently variable state to a calm state when Berto started
the run.  The light curve dramatically shows this transition!

    Such a transition strongly resembles state changes seen in the microquasar
GRS 1915+105 in X-rays.  V4641 Sgr has apparently experienced a number of
similar state chanes in the past few days.  The analysis is keenly in
progress.
