Subject: SN2002ap Mag

Hello!

We made some measurements of SN2002ap these days with our unfiltered but
near-V responsing AP7-CCD. Last time Matthias Busch sent you magnitudes
regarding to the USNO-A2.0, this time we used Arne Henden's V-sequence
as printed on the AAVSO-chart.
It seems that our photometric setup fits the V-band pretty good though
we use nothing more than an IR-blocking filter. Using the 8 brightest
comparison stars from Hendens sequence, I got an RMS error of 0.01 mag.
The photometry was done manually, the fluxes were derived via an
PSF-Fit and summed up over 4 images.
The actual result for the SN:

2002 02 15.807 12.83V

I would be rather interested in your opinion if our accuracy in the V-band
is good enough to report further measurements.

Sincerly:
Felix Hormuth, Starkenburg Observatory Heppenheim
