[vsnet-campaign-sn 632] SNe information from IAUC 8142

Dear SN watchers,

In [vsnet-campaign-sn 631]:
> The CfA team took a spectrum of a variable object near MCG
>+07-36-33 on June 5.

This object has been named as SN 2003fa.

SN 2003em:
In [vsnet-campaign-sn 628] (May 29):
>SN2003em 20030527.158 172CR MLF
>SN2003em 20030528.135 167CR MLF
>
># SN 2003em (2:09:20.23, -23:24:53.0 (J2000.0), offset = 32"E, 2"N) is
># hosted by ESO 478-G6, an inclined spiral (Sbc) galaxy. It is
># superimposed on the outer arm region. The expected maximum for
># typical SN Ia is mag about 16.0.

The Las Campanas spectrum taken on June 4.42 shows that it is a type
Ia SN about 40 days after maximum.

SN 2003ev:
In [vsnet-campaign-sn 629] (June 4):
>SN2003ev 20030409.4 <190:C KAI
>SN2003ev 20030601.3 185:C KAI
>SN2003ev 20030602.3 185:C KAI
>
># SN 2003ev (13:10:31.80, -21:39:49.6 (J2000.0), offset = 2"E, 6"N) is
># hosted by 2MASX J13103164-2139555, an apparently edge-on spiral
># galaxy. In its neighbourhood, there are some galaxies with the
># recession velocities are about 3000 km/s or 7000 km/s. If the
># latter is near to that of the host galaxy, the expected maximum for
># typical SN Ia is mag about 16.8.

The Las Campanas spectrum taken on June 4.19 shows a red continuum
with broad undulations. Observed features consistent with a highly
reddened young SN Ic, but the firm classification needs additional
observation, the reporters (M. Hamuy and M. Phillips) said.

SN 2003ey:
In [vsnet-campaign-sn 630] (June 5) :
>SN2003ey 20020408.48 <214:C PAL
>SN2003ey 20030327.45 <211:C PAL
>SN2003ey 20030409.57 <194:C PAL
>SN2003ey 20030427.46 <195:C PAL
>SN2003ey 20030502.42 <190:C PAL
>SN2003ey 20030524.33 192:C PAL
>SN2003ey 20030530.28 188:C PAL
>
># SN 2003ey (14:20:03.28, -8:28:40.0 (J2000.0), offset = 2"W, 1"S) is
># hosted by a round-shaped anonymous galaxy (rmag about 15 in
># USNO-A2.0).

The Las Campanas spectrum taken on 4.27 UT revealed that it is type
Ia SN about 5 days after maximum. The recession velocity of the host
galaxy was measured as v_r ~ 20000 km/s.

SN 2003ez:
In [vsnet-campaign-sn 630] (June 5) :
>SN2003ez 20030521.2 <190:C KAI
>SN2003ez 20030603.2 175:C KAI
>SN2003ez 20030604.2 174:C KAI
>
># SN 2003ez (12:43:11.87, -2:30;04.1 (J2000.0), offset = 5"W, 1"S) is
># hosted by PGC 42782, a barred-spiral (SB(rs)c pec) galaxy. The
># expected maximum for typical SN Ia is consistent with the discovery
># magnitude.

The Las Campanas spectrum obtained on June 4.13 UT revealed that it
is possibly luminous SN Ia, about 3 days before maximum.
