# SN 2003em (2:09:20.23, -23:24:53.0 (J2000.0), offset = 32"E, 2"N) is
# hosted by ESO 478-G6, an inclined spiral (Sbc) galaxy.  It is
# superimposed on the outer arm region.  The expected maximum for
# typical SN Ia is mag about 16.0. 

# R. Evans discovered an apparent SN (mag about 16) in ESO 293-G34
# from an archival film taken on 1988 Nov. 7.  It was named as SN
# 1988ai.
