# SN 2003bt (10:55:22.48, -7:39:12.3 (J2000.0), offset = 12" due west)
# is hosted by MCG -01-28-006, a face-on barred-spiral galaxy. The
# new object is superimposed on the western arm. There is a
# foreground star (USNO-A2.0 red mag 18.4) about 22" due west of the
# nucleus of MCG -01-28-006, so the new object lies a midway of the
# nucleus and the foreground star. The expected maximum for typical
# SN Ia is consistent with the discovery magnitude.

Sincerely,
Hitoshi Yamaoka, Kyushu Univ., Japan
