[vsnet-campaign-sn 518] SN observations from IAUC 8031
SN2002jo 20020905.0 <185C Dim
SN2002jo 20021211.20 164C Dim
SN2002jo 20021211.23 164C Dim
SN2002jo 20021212.21 163C Dim
# NGC 5708, a host galaxy of SN 2002jo (14:38:16.42, +40:27:14.0
# (J2000.0), offset = 1"E, 10"S), is a late spiral (Sdm:) galaxy.
# There is a foreground star (mag about 13) about 36" SSE of the
# nucleus, so the SN is located on the way to this star from the
# nucleus. The expected maximum for typical SN Ia is mag about 14.5
# when unreddened within the host galaxy. The UCB team took a
# spectrum of it on Dec. 12 UT, which revealed that it is a reddened
# SN Ia about 3 weeks after maximum.

# NGC 3313, a host galaxy of SN 2002jp (10:37:26.50, -25:21:35.2
# (J2000.0), offset = 14"E, 146"S), is a barred-spiral (SB(r)b) galaxy
# with a ring structure. The SN is located well outside of the spiral
# arm. There is a bright (rmag about 12-13) foreground star 5" NNW of
# the nucleus of NGC 3313. The UCB team also took a spectrum of this
# SN as above, and revealed that it is a type Ic SN about 2 weeks
# after maximum.
