[vsnet-campaign-sn 424] SN Ia 2002cs

Dear SN watchers, 

  IAUC 7894 informed that the spectrum of SN 2002cs, taken by the
Padova team, the CfA team, and the Lick team on May 7 UT, revealed
that it is of type Ia near (1-2 days before) maximum.  They all noted
that the expansion velocity is somewhat larger than that for a normal
one, which suggests that it can be intrinsically brighter.  Followup
photometry is urged.
