Dear SN watchers, See D. Bishop's fine page: http://vsnet.RochesterAstronomy.org/snimages/ , which noticed a suspected SN is on MCV -02-37-06, which is the host galaxy of SN 2001T (discovery mag 16.8). The new object is mag about 17.4 on Apr. 17, and slowly (0.04 mag/day) rising. The expected maximum for a typical SN Ia is mag about 15.6, but it seems not to be of this type. Sincerely Yours, Hitoshi Yamaoka, Kyushu Univ., Japan yamaoka@rc.kyushu-u.ac.jp
