Dear SN watchers, The CfA team has taken spectra of some recent SNe. SN 2002bt: In [vsnet-obs 39185]: >SN2002bt 20020325.4 179:C KAI > ># It is a distant SN, which seems not to reach 17 mag. It is of type Ia, about 2 weeks after maximum on Apr. 3. SN 2002bv: In [vsnet-campaign-sn 396]: ># UGC 4042 = the host of SN 2002bv is a distant spiral galaxy. The >expected maximum for typical SN Ia is mag about 17.0. It is type IIn supernova, like as SN 2002bu. SN 2002bx: In [vsnet-campaign-sn 397]: > The recession velocity of IC 2461 is measured as 2260 km/s. The >Galactic extinction is negligible. If it is unreddened by the >interstellar matter in the host galaxy, the expected maximum for >typical SN Ia is mag about 14.0. The spectroscopic classification and >the followup magnitude estimates are urged. It is normal type-II SN caught on the early phase. The continuum is quite blue, but narrow Na D lines are visible. The spectra of these supernovae can be seen at the CfA site: http://cfa-www.harvard.edu/cfa/oir/Research/supernova/RecentSN.html .
