Dear SN watchers, IAUC 7846 informed the spectral types of recent SNe. SN 2002bf: In [vsnet-campaign-sn 357]: ># The host galaxy of SN 2002bf = CGCG 266-031 is a barred-spiral ># (SB(r)b:) galaxy. The expected maximum for typical SN Ia is mag ># about 16.6. It is of type Ia at maximum on Mar 6-7 UT, with somewhat high expansion velocity (CfA team and UCB-Keck team). Such high velocity are observed among the luminous SNe Ia. The observation has not reported other than the discovery (166:C on Feb. 24.3 UT). SN 2002bi: In [vsnet-campaign-sn 358]: ># The host of SN 2002bi is a spiral or irregular (Sdm:) galaxy UGC ># 8527. The expected maximum for typical SN Ia is mag about 16.6. ># SN locates quite near to the nucleus. It is also of type Ia, but roughly 1 month past maximum on Mar. 7 (UCB - Keck team). SN 2002bk: In [vsnet-obs 38800]: >SN2002bk 20020111.5 <195C PAL >SN2002bk 20020209.28 185C PAL >SN2002bk 20020303.3 191C PAL It is again of type Ia, about 5 weeks past maximum on Mar. 7 (the same observers). The recession velocity of the host galaxy was also measured as 17000 km/s. Sincerely Yours, Hitoshi Yamaoka, Kyushu Univ., Japan yamaoka@rc.kyushu-u.ac.jp
