Dear SN watchers, I wrote in [vsnet-campaign-sn 312]: ># The host galaxy of SN 2002C is IC 3376, a barred-spiral ((R)SBa) ># galaxy. The UCB group and the CfA group took spectra of this SN on Jan 17 and 19.49 respectingly, which reveal that it is of type II in the early phase (IAUC 7800). The reported magnitudes (most recent one: 170:CR on Jan 19.216) is very bright for typical SN II. And, I wrote in [vsnet-campaign-sn 315]: ># All SNe in this report are possibly in the rising phase. H. Yamaoka The CfA team also revealed that it is of an old SN II (ibid). Sincerely Yours, Hitoshi Yamaoka, Kyushu Univ., Japan yamaoka@rc.kyushu-u.ac.jp
